### What is Krypton ? Krypton is an academic publisher for blind students in Portuguese speaking countries, we publish high quality academic textbooks using Portuguese braille and Portuguese adapted Nemeth. ### Our Services Krypton has three services: - Learning Portuguese Braille Events (in the future) - Learning Portuguese Braille Scientific Notation Events (in the future) - Producing technical textbooks in braille #### Learning Portuguese Braille We provide free online sessions so that people can have the resources and classes to learn Portuguese braille for free! #### Learning Portuguese Braille Scientific Notation We provide free online sessions so that people can have the resources and classes to learn Portuguese adapted Nemeth for free! #### Producing technical textbooks We want to make the following series of textbooks: - Mathematics Textbooks - Scientific Textbooks - Literature Textbooks We will collaborate with universities so that we can provide blind students more independent materials. ### Background and History The **Krypton** project emerged at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon in the year $2021$ from the discussion of two young people, who would become the two founders of the Krypton project of their name [[Tiago Veríssimo and Duarte Medeiros]], with the aim of promoting a more open sharing and consumption of knowledge.
